Thank you to everone who came out to support us on June 19, 2012!
Our benefit event at the Somerset Collection in Troy, Michigan was a huge success. The evening started with some socializing and Haitian-style food. Then, Mitch Albom showed a short film, introduced the audience to some very special guests, and told the story of the Have Faith Haiti Mission, and the progress that has been made to create a safe, healthy place for Haitian orphans providing them with a solid education and spiritual nourishment.

Thanks to all who attended and donated!

Nate Forbes accepted an award for his incredible generousity, and continued to give.

Florence Moffit, a missionary at the orphanage for 28 years, shared inspirational words with the audience.

Members of the Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit brought their amazing harmonies and energy to the stage.

Marie Michelle, a former resident of the orphanage who now teaches 2nd grade, shared her stories about growing up there, and the progress that has been made in recent years.

Meet the Children of H.F.H. Mission
NAME: Melissa “Babu” Similien
Age 2 1/2

Our youngest child at the Mission, Melissa was brought in by an impoverished mother who had no way to afford her care or feeding. Nicknamed “Babu” she has become the darling of the group, and the older children (even the four year olds!) dote on her constantly. Her English is amazing for a child not even three years old! And she has grown and blossomed thanks to the meals and sleeping conditions at HFH. Thank you for helping change her life.
