SAY Play Celebrates a Summer of Learning, Fun and Community

On Friday, August 7, the SAY Detroit Play Center at Lipke Park celebrated the end of its six-week Summer Camp with students and their families.
To help students start the new school year ready to succeed, each student received a backpack filled with school supplies, new athletic shoes and a Nike swag bag. Families also had access to haircuts and braiding, dental and diabetes screenings, and information about appointments and services at the SAY Detroit Family Health Clinic.
The celebration continued with a co-ed All-Star Basketball Game, followed by halftime performances from students in the Notes for Notes program and dance classes.
Thank you to the many partners who helped make this celebration possible.

Life Lessons at SAY Play
SAY Play summer camp students in 6th through 12th grade put their financial skills to the test during a Financial Reality Fair, sponsored by Lake Michigan Credit Union.
