A Message from Our Founder

This past year has been proudly marked by growth. Growth of SAY Detroit from its humble beginnings in 2006. Growth of the spaces where we serve Detroiters in need. And growth of the students and families on their pathways to success. I am grateful.

The SAY Detroit Family Health Clinic focused on mental health during the outdoor July Wellness Wednesday luncheon at the Ernest T. Ford Recreation Center.

Pandora Brown, co-owner of “Yes You Can Home Help Agency” lead the discussion around aging and mental health, specifically, worry, anxiety and depression, in older adults.

“This mind of ours is stronger than a computer,’’ Brown said. “Just remember, you can always change your mind. You can manage everything you’re going through, good and bad. Everything is connected to your emotions.’’
