Radiothon 2023 Coming Soon!
The SAY Detroit Radiothon hosted by Mitch Albom will be hitting the airwaves and streaming video live on Thursday, December 7 from 6 a.m. – 9 p.m. on WJR 760AM and at mitchalbomradiothon.com. A signature event for the city’s giving community twelve years running, the radiothon features those served by SAY Detroit and its partners. The value of a good night’s sleep
SAY Detroit Family Health Clinic’s October Wellness Wednesdays guest speaker, Dr. Laura Barger, assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, led a conversation on sleep health with the more than 30 women in attendance at the monthly support group.
The impact of racial disparities and inequities on African Americans’ sleep and well-being were discussed among the group when a participant told a story about some of her sleep-deprived nights. Research shows that adults need seven to nine hours of sleep per night, but one third of Americans get less than six. Read more ››
SAY Play celebrates Michigan Masons’ generosity!
The Michigan Masons visited the SAY Detroit Play Center for a special presentation by our students to learn about everything going on at SAY Play. Their visit celebrates year eight in the Masons’ 10-year, $5 million pledge.
SAY Detroit and Motown Soup
A Time To Help volunteers once again partnered with long-time friend Motown soup to restock food mixes for the organization to sell for the benefit of local nonprofits in October. Volunteers broke their personal record with over 1,946 items measured, mixed and sealed! Read more ››
