SAY Play Welcomes Back Students!

The SAY Detroit Play Center reopened for fall semester on Sept. 16 with a full house of 200 students. The first week focused on team building activities and setting expectations for the year. Led by our Mental Wellness team, students were welcomed with an outdoor walk to boost energy and a friendly game of “Get to Know You” BINGO.

The Human Quality of Generosity

Donors and volunteers make SAY Detroit’s mission come to life. Earlier this month, Mi-Cycle received a special donation from Tom and his sister Laura.

Tom has a developmental disability and for most of his life, used these two bikes to get around. Now too old to ride them safely, he was having difficulty parting with them and the freedom they provided.  When Laura suggested donating them to Mi-Cycle would give that same freedom to someone else in need, he agreed.

Mi-Cycle has built, refurbished, and donated more than 500 bicycles to those in need of transportation this year so far.
