On Saturday, September 19, eleven A Time to Help volunteers dedicated their morning to a back-to-school clean-up at the SAY Detroit Play Center at Lipke Park. The dedicated team worked hard to prepare the facility for the school year ahead, taking on a variety of tasks, including cleaning and dusting walls, windows, bathrooms, and classrooms, as well as fixing some broken window screens.

Drenched from the rain but undeterred, outdoor team helped to collect over 10 garbage bags of trash around the SAY Play campus. They also helped by weeding and trimming grass at the entrance of the building. Thanks to their efforts, the SAY Play Center is now refreshed and ready to welcome students for the new school year. After-school programming began this afternoon — watch as staff rolled out the red carpet!
