Cass Community Social Services fights poverty and creates opportunity for Detroit’s most at-risk citizens. The nonprofit has been a leader in devising programs and creating jobs to enhance the lives of the homeless community, the developmentally disabled, and those who suffer from mental illness and substance abuse.
Event Date/Time: Saturday, April 8, 9 a.m. to noon
Project: Volunteers will contribute to Cass Community’s Tiny Homes neighborhood project. Tiny Homes provides home ownership for formerly homeless and other low-income people. Some light physical work outside may be required, so dress accordingly.
Where: We’ll be meeting at the CCSS Scott Building, 11850 Woodrow Wilson, Detroit, MI, 48206.
