A Time to Help Plant Trees in Detroit

February 16, 2024

Since 1989, The Greening of Detroit, a nonprofit, has planted over 146,000 trees in the City of Detroit, Hamtramck and Highland Park. They continue to plant along city and residential streets and within parks and playgrounds.

Trees are key to any urban areas quality of life, public health, and provides enumerable environmental benefits. They help reduce extreme heat, manage stormwater, and create and clean the air we breath.

Volunteer with us as we join The Greening of Detroit for a fun-filled day of planting trees and helping to expand Detroit’s canopy cover. All ages are welcome and training and tools will be provided on-site.
