Project Description: To provide a safe route for children around Samuel Gompers Elementary-Middle School in the Brightmoor neighborhood on Detroit’s west side. Volunteers will be removing brush and blight, raking and bagging leaves, and performing other general landscaping chores.
Attire/Other Info: Please wear clothing suitable for working outdoors. Some materials will be provided, but volunteers are encouraged to bring gloves, paper recycling bags, heavy duty contractor plastic bags, bow saws and loppers.
Event Date/Time: Sat., Nov. 12, 9 a.m. – noon.
