Volunteer

Without volunteers, SAY Detroit would not be able to do as much as it does — we’re blessed with a committed group of volunteers invested in our mission to provide pathways to success for Detroiters in need. Volunteers work across several programs and efforts. Find an opportunity based on your interest below!

A Time to Help

A Time to Help stages monthly projects to help those in need and promote unity in metro Detroit. Founded in 1997, volunteers have completed more than 200 projects for SAY Detroit and partner organizations, ranging from building houses, delivering meals, beautifying city streets and parks, and packing food.

EAT Detroit

EAT Detroit showcases our city’s diverse culinary scene with a one-night foodie experience to benefit our city’s neediest. Volunteers help welcome attendees at restaurants and guide them through the shuttle system. Official sign up is open, volunteer at the link below.

SAY Detroit has recently moved to a new platform — InitLive — for A Time to Help and other program opportunties. Find our landing page and sign up with us at this link.

InitLive is a pretty robust platform and there’s a lot of cool little things we’ll be able to do together — and, it has a mobile app! If you’d like video overviews, you can watch this. If you like to dig into FAQs, you can get started here.
