October 27 – Highland Park, MI – Detroit Red Wing captain Henrik Zetterberg and his wife, Emma – through their charitable foundation – donated $40,000 to Mitch’s S.A.Y. Detroit Family Health Clinic in support of ongoing efforts there to provide free healthcare for homeless mothers and children.
With a couch here and a chair there Mike and Woodward Quality Furniture are giving others the comfort he once lacked right here in the heart of Detroit.
October 18 – Utica, Michigan – More than 60 A Time To Help volunteers that included 20 walk-ins joined Mitch Albom to work in tandem with members of Trinity Lutheran Church to package soup, cookie, and cornbread mixes that will be sold by local charity Motown Soup in order to help those in need.
