A Time to Help September 2016: Capuchin Soup Kitchen Earthworks Urban Farm

Project Description: Volunteers will be harvesting and processing produce, as well as cultivating and weeding beds and performing other general gardening chores, at the Capuchin’s 2.5-acre organic farm in Detroit. The garden provides tons of produce to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen each year.

Event Date/Time: Sat., Sept. 17, 9 a.m.-noon.

Location: The Earthworks farm is located at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen’s Meldrum site at 1264 Meldrum St., Detroit, 48207. Map it here

Parking: Free parking available at the urban farm parking lot at Meldrum and St. Paul Street.

Attire/Other info: Come prepared to work in a garden. Please wear closed-toe shoes and wear work gloves. Gardening tools and materials will be provided by Earthworks. Water and snacks provided by S.A.Y. Detroit.
