It’s recommended that women with an average risk for breast cancer start getting mammograms when they turn 40. Thanks to a partnership with Hungry Howie’s and Henry Ford Health, there was no need for SAY Detroit patients and SAY Play community members to make an appointment at lab or diagnostic center — the machines came to them! The SAY Detroit Family Health Clinic welcomed a second annual Love, Hope & Pizza event where more than a dozen women took advantage of an appointment-free window to get their screening and take home some lovely swag generously provided by Hungry Howie’s. WJR’s Marie Osborne & WDVD’s Lauren Crocker were on-site to share the facts about screenings, women’s health and the resources available from Henry Ford Health and SAY Detroit providers like family nurse practitioner Carla Butcher!
