Cass Community Social Services fights poverty and creates opportunity for Detroit’s underserved citizens. The nonprofit has been a leader in devising programs and creating jobs to enhance lives. The nonprofit also lifts people back onto their feet through its tiny homes community for low-income individuals.

Project Description: Volunteers will be working at the Cass Community Social Services – World Building making mud mats from recycled tires, which Cass Community sells with all profits going to support its programming.
Date: Saturday, February 20
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Parking: Lot on site, enter on Webb. Off-street parking is also available.

Please Note: Registration-only event; space is limited. If the project registers as full and you’d like to be placed on a waiting list, please email atimetohelp.detroit@gmail.com. For those who successfully register and cannot attend, please unregister through CERVIS so we can contact someone to take your spot. Please dress warmly and wear comfortable clothing.
Health Protocol: All volunteers will be required to wear a mask; ATTH will have face coverings on hand, as well as sanitizing wipes. Physical distancing will be enforced at each work station. Please cancel if you feel sick or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19. There will be temperature checks and a brief COVID form to sign upon entering the building. There will be no ATTH group photograph, but individual photos will be taken during the project.
