Native Detroiters Timothy Paule Jackson & Nicole Lindsey developed an interest in bees and honey circa 2016 when Timothy realized all the amazing benefits of honey; especially local honey. The couple took months of local classes in beekeeping, then in 2017 they purchased their first lot turning it into an urban bee farm, Detroit Hives was born. They are a SAY Detroit partner and recipient of funds raised during the annual radiothon.
