A Hole in the Roof “Adopts” Fishermen // UPDATE
During his visit to the Philippines this week, Mitch Albom will visit Talisay, where the Yellow Boats for Hope Foundation sources boats for their “Adopt a Fisherman” program. Through this program, boats are donated to the small scale fishermen who lost their boats during the typhoon so that they can return to their livelihood.

S.A.Y. Detroit Radiothon Raises $400K
After 14 straight hours live on WJR and streaming video on the web, over 90 guests, more than 80 rewards and prizes, 3 homes signed over to needy working families, and one power outage, the second annual S.A.Y. Detroit radiothon was a success, raising over $400,000!
Detroit Dream Scholars Reception 2013
On September 19th, Mitch met with seven Detroit Dream Scholars at a reception at the Center Galleries at the College for Creative Studies. The event served not only to celebrate the work of current Dream Scholars, but also to work towards the goal of having twelve Dream Scholars–a “Detroit Dozen.”
